RESIDENCY APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED AND REVIEWED NOVEMBER 1- DECEMBER 30 FOR THE UPCOMING SUMMER
Application Process
Applications are only considered and reviewed between November 1st and December 30th for the upcoming summer. This is not a first come, first serve application process. Residency applicants are chosen based on how well their project(s) fit with the mission of SHFS and on our own scheduling needs. Applicants will be notified by email mid January, at the latest, to schedule a phone interview or notified that your application has not been accepted.
Timeframe
Residencies can be scheduled to take place June - August. Early September is a possible option, depending on the rest of the schedule and the weather. It can be glorious here or turn cold quickly.
Housing Capacity
We have 4 bedrooms with queen size beds and one bedroom with a double bed. Two twin size air mattresses are also available for use. We have a very delicate septic system and use well water. Therefore, the max number of people, if you are willing to share a bed or two and use the air mattresses, is 9. This will be "cozy" and we will need to discuss this set up before your arrival, as I want to make sure that all dancers rest well, when not working, during their stay here.
